Information You Submit
Search boxes send the name, phone number, or address entered to the outside provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those queries. A message sent to us contains only what the sender chooses to provide, and we use it to answer that message.
Automatic Technical Data
Ordinary server logs may record an IP address, browser type, visited page, and timestamp. Aggregate log data helps maintain the service and shows which Sacramento resources are useful. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may also use cookies or comparable technology.
How Information Is Used
Limited visitor data supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We neither sell a visitor list nor create individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Government portals, Sacramento County and California offices, library collections, and outside search providers apply their own privacy policies. Their rules govern information entered after following a link. Sponsored search results also come from an independent provider.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is served over an encrypted connection. We retain server logs only as long as needed for the purposes above. Because we do not run accounts, there is no password or profile of yours to breach on this site.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
California Data Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, may provide rights to know, correct, delete, or limit certain personal information, depending on how the law applies. We can check contact mail and available logs for a request made through the Contact page. Government records held by the City of Sacramento, Sacramento County, a court, or a California agency remain under that custodian's control, so a correction or removal request for such a record must go there.
Policy Revisions
Any revision takes effect when the updated policy appears here. Continued use after publication signals acceptance of the revised terms.
